Locality: White Rock Canyon, Los Alamos County (35.795680, -106.191870)
Abstract: White Rock Canyon directly below the town of White Rock is an isolated space between farmland along the Rio Grande to the north and the flooded (1983) riparian region to the south. As such it represents a relatively pristine (excepting for earlier cattle grazing) area with a rich flora--some 320 species. It contains plants at both their northern and western extremes and deserves continued study if only for its relict populations. NOTE: several species are found only on the rim of the canyon. They are: Allium macropetalum, Cymopterus constancei, Cymopterus fendleri, Townsendia exscapa, Thelypodiopsis purpusii
