Plant: Annual 6-30 cm; stem erect, simple to branched at base, short-hairy; hairs spreading to reflexed, glandular-puberulent above Leaves: alternate, 8-70 mm; blade > petiole, narrowly oblong, deeply lobed to compound, lobes entire, leaflets ± lobed; ± reduced upward INFLORESCENCE: cyme, generally dense, coiled, generally 1-sided; pedicels generally short Flowers: pedicel 1-2 mm, < 10 mm in fruit; calyx lobes 4-5 mm, 6-10 mm in fruit, oblanceolate, short-stiff-hairy, glandular; corolla 3-5 mm, narrowly bell-shaped, tube yellow, limb white to lavender, deciduous, scales ± 0; stamens 2-3 mm, glabrous; style 1-2 mm, generally glabrous Fruit: capsule, 4-6 mm, oblong to elliptic, puberulent below, sparsely short-glandular-hairy above; Seeds 15-30, ± 1 mm, oblong to spheric, generally brownish; cross-furrows 5-8 Misc: Open, sandy or gravelly areas; < 3400 m.; Mar-Jun
