Subalpine meadow/slopes on 25 degree E-facing slope. Subalpine meadow duff; shallow soil mostly heald by vegetaion roots.
90 percent vegetation cover with a little bare soil and scattered porphytric andesite (igneous) and mudstone rocks/gravel. Porphyritic andesite (igneous) and mudstone. Old disturbed area.
Sacttered low willows and Ribes and Lonicera involucrate shrubs and scattered stands of spruce and aspen. Grasses and sedges, Thalictrum alpinum, Yarrow, Fageria, Dandelion, Agoseris, Potentilla sp., yellow Castilleja, epilobium.
Botrichyums mostly growing in dense vegetation in solid, root-massed sod which must be cut by a knife. all Botrychiums judged in field to be deep, bright green above and more-or-less glaucous below.
