Habitat: Slight, generally N slope, pinyon-juniper and desert shrub zones, 50% or more cover. Dominant shrub Ephedra torreyana. Dominant grasses Bromus tectorum, Oryzopsis hymenoides. No recent disturbance. Parent rock Notch Peak Formation, limestone or dolomite or both.
