Peru, Loreto, SE of Pucallpa, next to the junction of the Rio Pachitea and the Rio Yuyapichis; villages of Panguana and surroundings.

Habitat:
Primary rainforest in a distance of 10-2000m from the river Yuyapichis. Soils: white sands or brown latosols with rocky outcrops.
Description:
Tree of 4m, flowers white with an excellent perfume. (MYRT)
