Gently-sloped northwest-facing sandy ridge with light gravel mantle.
Ambrosia dumosa, Larrea tridentata, Psorothamnus emoryi, Hilaria rigida, Atriplex polycarpa, Krameria bicolor.
Annual for 21 cm high. Leaves 4 cm long near base, growing smaller and appressed up stem. Extensive black insect casings and leaf defoliation visible. 100% flowering. Inflorescence a deep rich yellow, approximately 3 cm diameter.
