Locality: United States, Florida, Escambia, Gulf Islands National Seashore, Fort Pickens Unit. Sand dunes and adjacent marsh just north of bike trail and large pond along Pensacola Bay northwest of Battery Langdon.

Habitat: Sand dunes and adjacent marsh. Soil characteristics: Corolla-Duckston sands, gently undulating, flooded (3) - moderately well drained and somewhat poorly drained soils formed in sandy sediments. Described as being a component of the Salt Marsh Ecological Community. Associate plant species: Nuttallanthus floridanus, Helianthemum arenicola, Physalis angustifolia, Eustachys petraea, Paronychia erecta, Tradescantia hirsutiflora, Serenoa repens, Cakile constricta. Uncommon.
