Habitat: Grazed valley grasslands on fluvial-sorted gravel accumulations; NE aspect, 25° slope.

Associated Species: Artemisia tridentata. Bromus tectorum, Achnatherum hymenoides, Chrysothamnus nauseosus, Gutierrezia sarothrae, Hilaria jamesii, Elymus elymoides, Opuntia erinacea, Sarcobatus vermiculatus, Sisymbrium sp., Erodium sp., Aristida sp., Halogeton sp.
Description: Plants about >5000 on 4 A; 2.5 feet tall.
Reproductive Condition: fruit bearing
Notes: Seed collected from 450 plants; to be used for general research, genetic studies, long-term storage & site rehab. 'Needle & thread'. Voucher for: Seeds of Success program.
