Very thin peaty humus atop moist sand, sloping base of flowage dike; very open and sunny, with no particular plant dominant and no tussock-forming Carices. Drying depression at base of slope. Additional field notes for Cochrane & Cochrane 6693: Assoc.: Sagittaria sp., Alisma plantago-aquatica var. parviflora, Eleocharis acicularis, Sparganium androcladum, Hypericum boreale, Bidens sp. Very abundant; forming distinct zone at pool's edge and up onto adj. gentle slope, all the way around.
