Locality: United States, California, Inyo, Southwestern base of Dublin Hills at eastern edge of lower Greenwater Valley, west of Shoshone, bajada east of Furnace Creek Wash Road, north and east to lowest rocky slopes and outlying hills

Elevation: 580 meters (1902ft)
Habitat: Gravelly bajada and gentle to steep rocky slopes of volcanic substrate (rhyolite, tuff), with isolated outcroppings of grayish limestone. Open scrub of Larrea tidentata and Ambrosia dumosa, with diverse array of annual including Plantago ovata, Chaenactis carphoclinia, Camissonia boothii, Lepidium lasiocarpum, etc.
Notes: Annual, flowers ink, fading purplish. Common on rocky limestone slopes.
