Locality: United States, Illinois, DuPage, Morton Arboretum, Mixed in with oaks in the kettlehole woods in Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve, on the W side of Argonne National Laboratory, E of Lemont Rd., S of Westgate Rd., N of Lemont.

Reproductive Condition: Flower: N Fruit: N Vegetation: Y Bud: Y
Notes: Numberous large and small trees. Appearing naturalized in the woods at this location, and also in woods in the NE part of the laboratory grounds E of the Outer Circle and N of 94th St. It was probably planted long ago somewhere on the grounds of the former Freund Estate before the laboratory occupied the site.
