Warm Springs Mountain 7.5Õ USGS Quadrangle. Cottonwood Swamp consists of a broad marshy area. Dissected by San Francisquito Canyon Road. This collection from along the solitary stream exiting the S end of the swamp.

Along margins of slow-moving stream in dappled shade. Overstory dominated by Populus fremontii, Salix laevigata, and S. lasiolepis.
Locally associated with Eleocharis, Lemna, Mentha cf. spicata, Euthamia occidentalis, Artemisia douglasiana, Rorippa nasturtium-aquaticum, Scirpus acutus occidentalis, Berula erecta, Salix lasiolepis, and Populus fremontii.
