Tufted annual in disturbed swath, or old rutroad, crossing an extensive low weedy flat. In Kinston-Bibb sands, gravels, silts, and muds, presently damp. (Area completely inundated during the great flood of July, 1994.) Locally abundant.
Lolium perenne, Festuca pratensis, Briza minor, Agrostis hiemalis, Polypogon monspeliensis, Ranunculus sceleratus, R. parviflorus, Medicago lupulina, Vicia tetrasperma, and V. grandiflora. Rpl. 9.
