Habitat: Mixed montane forest in loamy soil on a 45 degree slope in shade. Associated plants are Pseudotsuga macrocarpa, Aibes concolor, and Calocedrus decurrens.
Notes: Changed longdeg from 117 to 116. CMG 2-7-08.; Tree to 10 meters tall. Large white bracts with green calyx. Inflorescense, umbel-like, yellow to cream .
