Locality: United States, Colorado, Gunnison, Gothic, Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory. Along East River approximately 1 mile downstream from Gothic. Begin just where canyon opens out into meanders (just below end of fenceline) and moving upstream to point where powerline crosses river (ca. 1/3 mile).

Habitat: Wet, mossy, open bank along river edge.
Associated Species: With Platanthera hyperborea and Oxypolis fendleri.
Description: Roots tightly bound with those of other vegetation. Flower heads small, not opening widely. Rays short, straight, not spreading. Full bloom. Fairly common, several small patches found.
Reproductive Condition: Full bloom.
