Habitat: Heavily grazed slopes, primarily by goats, dominated by cacti (50-75%), with only two common woody perennials, Orthopterygium huaveni and Cnidoscolus, which do not appear to be touched by goats.
Associated Species: Orthopterygium hauveni, Cnidoscolus, Melocactus peruvianus, Neoraimondia arequipensis, Haageocereus, Espostoa melanostele, Opuntia sphaerica, Opuntia pachypus
Description: Occasional very spiny shrub.
