Habitat: Rocky slope above broad canyon; scrub grassland.
Associated Species: Prosopis velutina, Sarcomphalus obtusifolius, Lycium exsertum, Ferocactus wislizeni, Isocoma tenuisecta, Nissolia schottii, Condalia correllii, Atriplex canescens, Fouquieria splendens, Aloysia wrightii, Celtis pallida, Anisacanthus thurberi, Eragrostis lehmanniana, Bouteloua curtipendula, Poa bigelovii, Eremothera chamaenerioides.
Description: Perennial vine, locally abundant; leaves 5–7-lobed; flowers cream, 5- and 6-lobed; immature fruits globose, soft-prickly.
