Habitat: Mature hardwood flatwoods with sparse midstory.
Associated Species: Growing with Carex albolutescens, C. tribuloides, C. squarrosa, C. caroliniana, Chasmanthium latifolium, Galium obtusum, & Trepocarpus aethusae under canopy of Quercus phellos, Q. stellata (similis?), Q. lyrata, & Ulmus crassifolia.
Description: Plants cespitose.
Reproductive Condition: fruit

Notes: 50+ clumps scattered over +/- 1 acre.
