Single plant; stem gray-green; spines gray with reddish tint, yellow gold tip, all spines are long with a longer center spine (180 mm); rib count 20; flowers collected mid-morning, flower diameter 65-92 mm, length 62-80 mm, outer perianth yellow with a wide red midstripe, inner perianth yellow with a thinner red midstripe that does not continue to tips; stigma lobe numbger 14-17, color yellow with a blush of red at tips; fleshy fruit yellow-green; diameter 21-25 mm, length 21-24 mm, additional fruit collected 4 November 2008; seeds black.
