Habitat: Pinyon-oak woodland along seasonal drainage.
Associated Species: Quercus arizonica, Quercus emoryi, Quercus toumeyi, Juniperus deppeana, Pinus discolor, Arctostaphylos pungens, Salix gooddingii, Agave palmeri, Rhus virens.
Description: Perennial forb; flowers red.
