Habitat: Ephemeral drainage in mountainous pine oak woodland.
Substrate: Stony soil.
Associated Species: Hesperocyparis arizonica, Pinus chihuahuana, Juniperus deppiana, Quercus durifolia.
Description: 2 dm decumbent to ascending herb with purple flowers, deeply palmate leaves and a tuber.
