Description: Common in foothills and mesas. Flowers reddish, very irretgular, with 5 petals; 3 long upper petals and 2 lower petals like lobes or oil glands; to 1/2' wide. Floowed by small round, burlike seed pod with 3 or 4 barbs at tip of each spine.
