Growing naturally. Plant ca 4 meters rall, flowers collected at 11:00 AM, outer perianth green with darker midvein, inner perianth white, stigma lobes 9, cream-colored; ground squirrela immediately try (and succeed!) to make off with fallen flowers; these flowers first cut longitudinally, put in microwave for ca 8 minutes, then put in ethanol or isopropyl or not soaked turn black upon drying in plant drier. Flower diam 80 mm, length 122 mm.
