Botrychium on more moist slope below rocky bench. Old disturbed area. Mostly growing in dense vegetation in solid, root-massed sod which must be cut by knife.
Subalpine meadow duff; shallow soil mostly help by vegetation roots. 90% vegetation cover with a little bare soil and scattered porphyrtic andesite (igneous) and mudstone rocks/gravel.
Scattered low willows and Ribes and Lonicera involucrata shrubs and scattered stands of spruce and aspen. Grasses and sedges, Thalictrum alpinum, Yarrow, Frageria, Dandelion, Agoseris, Potentilla argentea, Potentilla sp., yellow Castelleja, Epilobium.
