Habitat: On ledges of steep, N-facing granite outcrop.
Associated Species: Yucca, Encelia, Cercidium, Fouquieria.
Description: Prostrate, mat-forming perennials; stems clearly dorsiventral with fleshy, green upper leaves & papery, brown lower leaves; rhizophores scattered throughout, arising from dorsal surface; setae of leaf tips filamentous, tortuous, deciduous on most older leaves.
