Habitat: Disturbed soil of road-cut on northernly-facing slope in rolling to mountainous oak-manzanita-dominated Madrean evergreen woodland.; Stony soil.
Associated Species: Arctostaphylos pungens, Juniperus deppeana, Quercus oblongifolia, Quercus arizonica, Quercus emoryi, Rhus choriophylla, Yucca madrensis, Dasylirion wheeleri, Mimosa dysocarpa.
Notes: Scattered individuals were found on disturbed terrain of roadcut.; 2.5-4 dm tall, erect, annual plants, with broadly triangular, corsely-toothed leaves and a terminal spike of narrow elongate flowers with pale barely exserted petals.
