Locality: Haiti, Sud, Haiti: Dept.: Sud. Locality unknown. [*] Flowered in cultivation at the Univ. of Florida 5 May 1987. Pseudobulbs to 7 cm. tall, ovoid, bifolate; flowers greenish-tan; sepals and petals very thick and fleshy.

Whitten; accession F-702. --[Label note:] Voucher for NSF grant "Chemosystematics and Pollination Biology of Gongora" --[Admin. note:] [*] Specimen prepared from greenhouse cultivated material on 5 May 1987 by Mark Whitten. Uncertain as to whether plant was also pressed when collected. The following label data are in the label file supplied by Skean for this collection: Haiti: Massif de la Hotte. Macaya Biosphere Reserve. Bwa Formon (Bois Formond). Karst area near Morne Cavalier, ca. 1100 m elev. Disturbed "rak bwa." Orchid collected by Dan Cordier and filed under one of my numbers. Flowers green, tipped with tan. Coll. date: 3 June 1984.
