Locality: Mexico, Baja California, 0.6 miles north of MEX Rte 3 at Ejido San Matias (Francisco R. Serrano), between Ensenada and San Felipe. Plants growing on lower mountain slopes and rocky granite flats

Associated Species: Yucca schldlgera, Hymenoclea salsola, Prosopls glandulosa var. torreyana, Encella farinosa, Slmmondsla chlnensls. Ephedra, Opuntla parri and Ocotillo.
Description: Plants not cloning and with grey glaucous leaves with pink tips. Flowers orange-red with white glaucous midstripe; style and filaments light pink; stigma yellow; anthers dark with yellow pollen. Flowers semi-deflexed even when open.
