Broad belt of Pre-Cretaceous crystalline limestone that can be seen from Hwy I-15. Canyon and benches, very steep canyon walls to the west of canyon with a sharp, serrated, darker porphyritic dike along ridge line that cuts across the blt of limestone at a 90° angle. Sparse vegetation of Larrea tridentata, Ambrosia dumosa, Atriplex hymenelytra, and many annuals.
