Upper alluvial slope cut by many washes, just below bedrock outcrops of the mountains. Open wash woodland with Parkinsonia florida, Psorothamnus spinosa, Ambrosia salsola, Hyptis emoryi, Larrea, Encelia farinosa, etc.
Flowering & Fruiting
Very common annual here and throughout region; fls. ochroleucus. All plants seen in this general area were var. megalantha. One of the most conspicuous annuals in this region.
