Site 2. Steep meadow slopes from upper boulder field to saddle. Throughout basin and loose soil on slopes.
Patches of willow in middle of slope.
Growing from short caudex and long, ropy roots. Leaves mostly basal, dark green, petioloate, fleshy, crenate-denatate, especially at tips. Cauline leaves v. reduced. Very common.
