Associated Species: Quercus emoryi, Quercus arizonica, Pinus discolor, Juniperus deppeana, Arctostaphylos pungens, Schizachyrium, Bouteloua curtipendula, Bothriochloa barbinodis, Elionurus barbiculmis, Dasylirion wheeleri, Penstemon barbatus, Castilleja tenuiflora, Carphochaete bigelovii.
Notes: Perennial forb, 85 cm; leaves linear, to 18 cm long; fruits with 3–5 segments.
