Habitat: Mesquite grassland.
Associated Species: Prosopis velutina, Agave palmeri, Nolina microcarpa, Ziziphus obtusifolia, Isocoma tenuisecta, Quercus oblongifolia, Echinocereus fendleri, Ericameria laricifolia, Mimosa dysocarpa, Mimosa aculeaticarpa var. biuncifera, Apodanthera undulata, Sporobolus wrightii, Eragrostis lehmanniana.
Description: Perennial forb, 20 cm, abundant; flowers orange, tinged with red, open at 2:30 pm, closing by 4 pm.
Notes: PAPAZ.
