Prairie fen mostly round in shape with large Typha pond/stream in center. Surrounded by wooded upland. Encroachment by shrubs (Cornus, Spiraea alba, Toxicodendron vernix), especially from the north. There are large patches of Typha, Lythrum salicaria, and Phalaris arundinacaea in the northeast. The northwest has amazingly low number of invasives seen. No signs of management but many tracks of trucks or ATVs. Also, many invasives (Phalaris arundinacea and Lythrum salicaria) along creek. Some Frangula alnus in the southwest. In eastern section of fen, approximately center north-south, 20m from wooded upland in very shrubby Toxicodendron vernix, and Cornus dominated area. Typha, asters, and Carex lacustris, also common. Area wet and sometimes puddling, mostly even ground.
