Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Shrub encroached area previously dominated by Carex stricta. Ground slightly boggy/floating. Dominant shrubs include Betula pumila and Cornus sericea. Toxicodendron vernix also present. Herbaceous species include Asclepias incarnata, Thelypteris palustris, Calystegia sepium, and Eutrochium maculatum.
