Habitat: Large fen with high quality portions on eastern edge. Beautiful large Larix laricina trees shelter very diverse ribbons of fen. Large west portion is dominated by weedy species including Agrostis gigantea. Phalaris arundinacea dominates the fen/woodland interfaces. Bordered on north by creek and on south by woodland upland. Edge of shrub/tree grove with Populus tremuloides, Toxicodendron vernix, Cornus foemina, Viburnum nudum, grasses are common with Agrostis gigantea, Phalaris arundinacea, Eutrochium maculatum, Iris virginicum, Thelypteris palustris, Pycnanthemum virginicum also common; located in western portion of prairie fen.
