Elevation: 299 meters (981ft)
Habitat: Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Carex stricta and Cornus foemina dominate area in small Populus tremuloides grove just off tip of oak woodland peninsula. Iris virginica is blooming commonly throughout area. Other common species include Solidago gigantea, Solidago altissima, Eutrochium maculatum, Apios americanus, a nd Lathyrus palustris.
