Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Dasiphora fruticosa dominating the ground cover for about 100 sq. m. Other commons species include Carex stricta, Solidago altissima, Bromus ciliatus, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Doellingeria umbellata, and Galium boreale. About 30m from stream. In transition from inundated float to high quality fen. Ground moist.
