Habitat: Fen dominated by Carex stricta and Typha. Many Cornus and Toxicodendron vernix shrubs too. The ground is hummocky and wet. There is a lake at the center. The fen is surrounded mostly by trees and forest swamp or upland. 200m from eastern border, 100m from southern border. In shrub clump of Carex, Asteraceae, and Poaceae meadow. Herb dominators are Pycnanthemum virginianum, Solidago, Andropogon gerardii, and Doellingeria umbellata. Shrub dominators are (<2m) Cornus, Toxicodendron vernix. Ground hummocky and moist.
Description: Population - Clumped, somewhat common. Seens saplings 1-2 per 1m2 for 30m2.
