Habitat: Prairie fen runs along Spring Mill Creek. Edges are wooded with oaks. Horribly overgrown with many large areas that were marked as fen, now dense shrub carr. On the western and southern edge of the right main portion of the fen. Less than 1 m from the stream. Very shrubby and weedy, had to move from original coordinates, because over 50% shrub cover and no indicator vegetation. Stream bank dominated by Lythrum salicaria, Leersia, Typha angustifolia, Rosa palustris, and Impatiens capensis. Ground moist but not wet. No tussocks.
Description: Population - Abundant along stream bank seedheads. Mostly spent.
