Long and narrow, mostly emergent fen located west of the Raisin River. There are a few stand alone deciduous trees and shrubs and a few pockets of shrub-carr and decidous trees (birch, maple, sumac). Many streams present. Fen is well traveled with worn trails and several marked fence posts. Brush piles, old burn spots, and stumps mark an actively maintained fen. Less than 5m east of south Ives trail, 200m south of Ives sign. Poaceae and Asteraceae dominated area, shrub bramble less than 50m to the west. Not many shrubs in this area (<2m). Ground moist and uneven. Spraying in area.
Population - Fruiting stalks almost all spent, clumped with Andropoden gerardii. Less than 1m tall, influorescence may reach 20cm. Leafs mostly off while sheath and ligule remaining.
