USA, Georgia, Lee, Locally common escapes from cultivation on weedy shoulder and bank, S side of State Hwy. 118, just W of bridge at Muckalee Creek, ca. 3.2 (air) mi. E, and slightly S of Smithville, Lee Co.
Petals and an- thers yellow. Filaments and sepals yellow tinted with green. Adaxially, lvs. pale glaucous green, with whitish midribs. They, abaxially, as well as stems and siliques, throughout, were similarly colored, a very pale green with a glaucous bloom. Portions of stems, etc. were removed from most speci- mens. Max. hgts. ca. L ft.
(Comment: this sp. appears to be a very infrequent escape in the state; previous records, acc. to Jones and Coile's book of distribution maps, are from northern counties--Murray, Bartow, Elbert, and Clarke.)
