Tall, rather showy plants. Disk and ray florets yellow.’ Green of phyllar- ies pale to light proximally, somewhat darker distally. Lvs., light green with virtually no luster, were very similar on both surfaces. Stems pale green, rather lax, in part support- ed by vines. Straightened out, they were 5 to 7 ft. long (large parts were removed); below, for one-half to two-thirds of their length, they were devoid of lvs. Nine individuals pro- vided material for as many sheets.
