Permian Cutler Form. Bordering drainage on gently sloping floodplain with scattered Sapina osteosperma and Chaetopappa ericoides, Astragalus nuttalliana, Atriplex canescens, Ericameria nauseosus ssp. graveolens, E. nauseosus var. mohavensis. common locally.

Original ID: S. tridentatum ssp. parishii (A. Gray) W. A. Weber. Shrub to 4 ft. from 4 in. diameter trunk with shredding bark, branched at ground; largest leaves >2.5 cm. long; longest involucres >2.5mm; florets 2-3; fruits hairy; NAD 27.
