Georeference Remarks: The GNIS point ofr Bear Canyon is in New Mexico, but the canyon appears to stretch across the border, so plotted the point in the portion of the canyon that is in Las Animas county. Can't find Johnson Mesa, but the point is to the E of Barela Mesa. Incre
Habitat: Open areas with sagebrush, Gutierrezia.
Reproductive Condition: Flr
Notes: Plant very glandular; blossoms purple and yellowish within; stamens densely bearded.
