In herbaceous vegetation in shallow swale on nearly level upland underlain by Eocene clays and sands of the Calvert Bluff Formation. Associates included Agalinis heterophylla, Aster subulatus, Croton capitatus, Cynodon dactylon, Echinochloa colona, Helenium amarum, Mecardonia procumbens, Polygonum sp., Sesbania vesicaria, Setaria sp. (S. parviflora or S. glauca), Steinchisma hians, Tridens strictus.
