Habitat: In open, recently burned oak-juniper woodland or shrubland on shallow stony clay soils on moderately steep-facing slope underlain by Cretaceous limestone of the Travis Peak Formation. Associates included Calibrachoa parviflora, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Chamaesyce serpens, Conyza canadensis, Cynodon dactylon, Eclipta prostrata, Leucospora multifida, Salix nigra, Xanthium strumarium. Erect annual; occasional.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
