Habitat: Rare, a few plants in partial shade of Acacia rigidula in medium-stature shrubland on well drained noncalcareous reddish fine sandy loam (Webb Series) on level upland underlain by Eocene Sandstone of the Indio Formation. Associates included Aristida purpurea, Diospyros texana, Erodium cicutarium, E. texanum, Galium texense, Glandularia sp., Guaiacum angustifolium, Gymnosperma glutinosum, Lantana urticifolia, Solanum ptycanthum, Tiquilia canescens. Rare, a few plants in partial shade of Acacia rigidula. Subshrub.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
