Habitat: In bed of truck road through herbaceous vegetation on spongy gravelly clay soil on gentle slope near top of local landscape. Dominant species included Varilla texana, Sporobolus pyramidatus, Prosopis reptans, Quincula lobata. Other associates included Atriplex acanthocarpa, Atriplex sp. (annual), Bouteloua trifida, Chamaesaracha coronopus, Desmanthus cf. virgatus, Florestina tripteris, Gutierrezia texana, Prosopis glandulosa, Ruellia sp., Sphaeralcea pedatifida. Stems prostrate, not rooting at nodes; occasional.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
