Habitat: Occasional in medium- to tall-stature shrubland on vaguely saline silt or clay on higher parts of broad floodplain of Nueces River in NW part of U. S. Navy's Escondido Ranch. Associates include Acacia rigidula, Aphanostephus ramosissimus, Atriplex cf. texana, Chenopodium sp., Isocoma drummondii, Lithospermum matamorense, Opuntia lindheimeri, Prosopis glandulosa, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Ziziphus obtusifolius.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
